GSM "Global Systems for Mobile Communications":

GSM is used by over 1.5 billion people across more than 212 countries and territories. This ubiquity means that subscribers can use their phones throughout the world, enabled by international roaming arrangements between mobile network operators.
GSM differs from its predecessor technologies in that both signaling and speech channels are digital. This also facilitates the wide spread implementation of data communication applications into the system.
GSM also pioneered low cost implementation of the "Short Message Service" (SMS) also called text messaging. INCA Control have utilised the ability to both monitor and control equipment using GSM technology making it easier to manage systems remotely with cost efficiency. Some advantages for using GSM are:

  • Alarm Text Messaging Receive text messaging upon any fault within the system and reply to it stopping subsequent messages.
  • Control Be able to control your system remotely through text messaging. Start and stop pumps or systems as you require 24/7.
  • Networking Have up to 6 phone numbers in the phone book within the system, texting 1-6, utilising a network monitoring system.
  • Update and Monitor System Monitor and make changes to your system by changing software remotely via the GSM network.

There are 3 main controllers available when using GSM. They are:

  • JAZZ Controller
  • V350 Controller
  • V570 Controller

Below are examples and features of each controller.
